On July 30, Charles Umehai, Vice Minister of Liberia's Ministry of Mines and Energy, led a delegation of Liberia's power facilities planning and development officials visited HNAC, and Zhang Jicheng, General Manager of the HNAC International Company, attended the reception, where both sides discussed and exchanged views on the cooperation of Liberia's water conservancy, electric power, new energy and environmental protection fields under the new situation.
Mr. Zhang expressed his warm welcome to Charles Umehai and his delegation and accompanied him to visit the company's multi-functional exhibition hall, MEIC data center, new energy microgrid demonstration station, zero carbon cabin and international technology exchange center building, and introduced the company's technology, products and market development.
Charles Umehai expressed his gratitude to HNAC for its warm reception and highly praised the company's business development, brand influence, cultural construction and technological innovation, etc. He introduced that Liberia, as an important country in West Africa, has a vast coastline, obvious location advantages and rich mineral resources, but the national energy facilities are in urgent need of development and upgrading. The government of Liberia has made the "2030 Commitment" to vigorously improve the national infrastructure construction, and there is a huge space for the development of clean energy. The business segment of HNAC is highly compatible with the local needs. He hopes HNAC will increase the market investment in Liberia, export more successful experience, jointly promote the development of Liberia's energy industry, and contribute to the innovation of green energy technology for the benefit of Liberian local people.
During the visiting, 23 officials and engineers from the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Liberia responsible for the planning and development of electric power facilities participated in the course training of "Distributed Photovoltaic Power Station Design, Construction and Operation and Maintenance" in HNAC International Technical Exchange Center. In recent years, Africa's photovoltaic industry has accelerated, and photovoltaic power generation has become a hotspot for the development of renewable energy in Africa, as well as an important element of China-Africa clean energy cooperation. The natural endowment and urgent demand of Africa in the development of PV industry, superimposed on the rich experience and advanced technology accumulated by Chinese enterprises in the field of photovoltaic, make the cooperation between China and Africa in the field of solar energy development and utilization go deeper and deeper.
