From November 18 to 25, the “2025-4 Session (No. 108) of the Hydropower Station Automation/Intelligentization Technology Training Course” was successfully held in Changsha. The event was jointly organized by the China Hydropower Engineering Society's Hydropower Control Technology Training Center, the UNIDO International Center on Small Hydro Power Hydro Control Equipment Manufacturing (Changsha) Base, and HNAC Technology Co., Ltd. Through systematic and immersive learning, over 70 field operation and technical personnel from hydropower stations nationwide gathered at HNAC to enhance their professional skills and empower the future of the industry.

Focusing on the latest trends in the intelligentization and integration of hydropower stations, the training course was carefully planned, with a comprehensive curriculum covering topics such as integrated automation and centralized control systems, intelligent management and technology of hydropower stations, power system trading, new technologies in small hydropower intelligentization/integration, turbine control systems, excitation systems, and more. The courses were both professional and practical. Experts delivered the sessions based on a “theory + practical application”approach, analyzing technical principles in depth and teaching real-world methods, helping participants strengthen their theoretical foundation and broaden their professional horizons.

Facing the “difficult problems” raised by participants from the front lines of work, a team of senior technical experts from HNAC accurately analyzed the root causes and provided actionable solutions and optimization suggestions, enabling precise breakthroughs on these issues.

To further facilitate the internalization of knowledge and skill refinement, the training extended beyond the classroom to the workshop. Technicians deconstructed complex equipment operating principles, operational processes, and common troubleshooting methods into clear, standardized steps, with key processes demonstrated and explained in detail.

This training, focusing on “systematic, practical, and forward-looking” aspects, successfully established an efficient path from theory to practice, and from learning to application, empowering the development of hydropower talent. In the future, HNAC will continue to focus on the industry's transformation and upgrading needs, optimize the training system, innovate training models, and continuously inject innovation into the development of the industry.
